Driver Arrested for Crashing into One Home, Breaking into Another

A wild ride disrupted a St. Joseph neighborhood overnight and ended with one man in custody. According to police the man slammed the Jeep Cherokee he was driving into a home before fleeing from the SUV.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A wild ride disrupted a St. Joseph neighborhood overnight and ended with one man in custody.

Police arrested Hasan Hasan, Jr., 22, around midnight at a home in 2500 block of S. 11th Street.

According to Capt. Jeff Wilson, Hasan slammed the Jeep Cherokee he was driving into a home before fleeing from the SUV.

No one inside was hurt, but Wilson said the home was damaged.

Hasan then ran to a home across the street, according to police, and forced his way in through the front door. Wilson said he was confronted by the homeowners before police arrived.

Hasan was arrested on investigative charges of DWI and burglary.

He was charged Monday with leaving the scene of an accident, a felony.

His bond was set at $10,000.
