Eagles Lodge Hosts Benefit For Local Children's Home

The Eagles hosted a benefit for the Noyes Home's Crisis Center.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) The St. Joseph Fraternal Order of Eagles lodge made lots of noise for a local children's home on Sunday.

They held a benefit to raise money for the Noyes Home Crisis Center.

There was a car show, silent auctions, raffles, poker, run, horseshoe tournament, and food.

The Eagles' motto is "People Helping People," and they want the community to know that giving back is something they do quite often.

"Not a lot of people know understand what the Eagles do and we do help the community a lot. We're just trying to get noticed a little bit, that we do help people out in need," said Rodney Sears.

"Noyes Home needed help. They just opened this Crisis Center, I believe, six months ago, or so. And, they need help, and that's what we do, so, that's why we're out here," said Steven Haynes.

This is the first year the Eagles put on this event for the Noyes Home, and they hope it will grow throughout the years.
