East Buchanan Pigskin Preview

Bower has been leading East Buchanan for the past two seasons. Now the Bulldogs are looking for someone to help him.
The bulldogs are coming off a 2010 playoff apperance, and with their all star quarterback Cory Bower back the Bulldogs hope to make it even further.

"I just got to help the team and lead the team and everything will go as it will," says Bower, senior quarterback.

Bower has been leading East Buchanan for the past two seasons. Now the Bulldogs are looking for someone to help Bower.

"He's going to bring a lot of attention like we've told him," says Kevin Bryan, Bulldogs head coach. "The other kids are going to get a good opportunity now and they are going to have to step up and fulfill some good roles and hopefully have some success," Bryan adds.

Tasting some success last year with a 42-41 playoff win over West Platte, the bulldogs made the state quarterfinals in the playoffs last year. With high expectations East Buch is ready for the challenge.

"We have to just get better every game and just keep going and make it to the state playoffs again," says Bower.

"They want to be successful they want to have their chance to be in their glory time," says Bryan. "I think it just all comes from the kids. If they believe in it and they believe in what we're doing and if they do that we'll have success."

The quest for East Buch's second straight playoff appearance begins August 26 when the bulldogs travel to Rock Port.
