(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A former mattress store employee and his alleged partner in crime are accused of stealing from a St. Joseph business.

Mark Allen and Levi Roscoe were arrested after authorities say they hit Heitman's Mattress store on the Belt Highway Sunday.

According to court records, Roscoe used to work at the store and he still had a key to the building.

He allegedly took a company truck with bed frames and mattresses and dropped them off at Allen's home.

He reportedly sent a text message to his boss admitting that he took the items valued at about $1,700.

Both men are charged with second degree burglary.
