The family of Jolinda Snapp held a balloon release and a blood drive at the Community Blood Center.
Snapp was an employee at the blood center for almost a decade.
She passed away last month after battling cancer for years.
Her family felt this tribute would be the perfect way to carry on her legacy.
"The Blood Center meant a tremendous amount to her. She loved her job, she loved talking to people, she loved trying to get people in here to give blood. I think she'd be really happy to see us doing this," said Chris Gilmore, Snapp's son.
Snapp's family says they plan to make this an annual blood drive to honor her every year.
