Fire Breaks Out at Home on Lover's Lane in St. Joseph

<font size=2>ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- Firefighters responded to&nbsp;a house fire in a St. Joseph neighborhood this morning. </font>The fire broke out around around 10:45 at a home in the 2200 block of Lover's Lane.<br>
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- Firefighters responded to a house fire in a St. Joseph neighborhood Thursday morning. 

The fire broke out around 10:45 in the attic of a home in the 2200 block of Lover's Lane.

Six fire trucks responded to the fire. 

The St. Joseph Police Department also arrived on scene for traffic control.


Firefighters told KQ2 reporter Luana Munoz that the attic to the home sustained the most damage.

They also said no one was home at the time of the fire, and it is believed the family's pets got out safely.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

One firefighter sustained minor injuries.
