Fourth-Seeded Griffons to Face Southern Arkansas

Missouri Western begins Central Regional play Thursday at Minnesota-State Mankato.

(ST. JOSEPH) Missouri Western gathered to watch the NCAA Selection Show Sunday after falling one game short of winning the MIAA Tournament Championship.

The Griffons will be the fourth seed in the Central Regional, hosted by Minnesota State-Mankato, and are matched up against third-seeded Southern Arkansas. Fellow MIAA members Central Missouri and Missouri Southern join Western as the second and sixth seeds, respectively.

St. Cloud State lands in the fifth seed to round out the group.

This marks the Griffons' second regional appearance in program history, standing at 40-10 with their first-ever regular season conference crown in tow.

Southern Arkansas is 40-15 and the Great American Conference regular season and tournament champions for the second straight year. 

Regionals will take place May 16th-19th.
