The Fredrick Inn has gone smoke-free.
It's a decision the restaurant has been mulling for years.
Smokers have typically been asked to sit on the bar side of the restaurant separated from the non-smokers.
After much thought and the city's decision to drop a smoking ordinance, the restaurant decided it was time to make the change.
"We really thought the city was going to go non-smoking," said Dara Alsbury, a waitress at the Fredrick Inn. "We were going to wait until we had to. But more and more people are turning to non-smoking and I really think it is going to be a boost for our business."
