Fuel Coffehouse Celebrates Grand Opening in Green Acres Building

Fuel Coffeehouse and Eatery reopened in the building under new management. The restaurant features coffee shop beverages, baked goods and sandwiches.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) The renovated Green Acres building in north St. Joseph celebrated its newest tenant Thursday.

Fuel Coffeehouse and Eatery reopened in the building under new management.

The restaurant features typical coffee shop beverages like lattes, cappuccino and smoothies. Fuel also offers baked goods and sandwiches.

Manager Mary McPhee says the historic building is a great fit for the coffee shop with the hotel and stores nearby.

Fuel also benefits from the traffic of Northwest Missouri State University students.

"We work real well with them and their students for their masters programs at night," she said. "We are here to provide them with their break room. So, it works out really well. This is a tremendous building and we're proud to be a part of the historic St. Joe."

Fuel coffeehouse is located at the east entrance of the Green Acres building.

The store is open Monday through Saturday.
