Full Fire Services Scheduled for Assistant Chillicothe Fire Chief

Funeral services for Assistant Chillicothe Fire Chief, Joe Darr, will be held this weekend in Chillicothe.
(CHILLICOTHE, Mo.) Funeral services for Assistant Chillicothe Fire Chief, Joe Darr, will be held this weekend in Chillicothe.

Darr, 62, died Wednesday at a Kansas City area hospital from duty related injuries. He was a 34-year veteran of the Chillicothe Fire Department, spending the last four years as Assistant Chief.

Darr was also Chillicothe Branch Chief for the Region H Homeland Security Regional Response Team.

A Masonic service will begin at 5 p.m. with visitation following on Sunday, Sept. 8 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Lindley Funeral Home. The visitation will conclude with a fire service uniform walk through. Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 9, at 10 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Chillicothe with full fire service honors.
