Garnett Finishes Midwest Classic Tied for 50th

Former Griffon shoots 70 in final round of this weekend's tournament in Overland Park.

(OVERLAND PARK, Kan.) Former Missouri Western golfer Brice Garnett shot a 70 in the final round of the Midwest Classic Sunday to finish in a five-way tie for 50th.

The former Griffon finished seven strokes under par, 11 back of the winner, Jamie Lovemark.

He shot a 67, 74, and 66 through the first three rounds and found himself as high as fifth on the leaderboard after round one.

Garnett qualified for the U.S. Open last year and is on pace to make the cut for the PGA Tour if he continues strong play. He is currently 19th in earnings for the WEB.COM Tour and needs a top 25 finish by the end of the regular season to qualify.
