Gary Garver, 65, of St. Joseph, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 19, 2013 at his home.

Gary Garver, 65, of St. Joseph, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 19, 2013 at his home.

Gary was born on November 18, 1947 in St. Joseph to Dudley and Dorothy (Jordan) Garver. They preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by brother-in-law Robert Horning, Sr.

He was a graduate of Lafayette High School. After graduation, he began his career in health care. He was of the Methodist faith. He enjoyed history and spending his vacations in Colorado. He will sadly be missed by his family, close friends, and his extended family of coworkers and residents of Carriage Square where he was an employee for 35 years.

Surviving family includes sister, Amaryilis “Amy” Horning, of St. Joseph; brother, Harold Davis. nephew, Robert Horning, Jr.; niece, Jennifer Foster (Clark), and great nephew, Thomas Foster (Kristen).

Gary has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
There will be no visitation or services.
