Good Harvest at St. Joe Farmers Market

Market continues on Wednesdays and Saturdays through Oct. 26 at East Hills Mall parking lot.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Fall colors were in full force at St. Joseph's Farmer's Market Saturday.

The market this year moved back to the parking lot at East Hills Mall. It had been elsewhere last year.

Vendors say it's been a good year for produce, even if harvest has come a little later. They say there are still plenty of tomatoes to be had.

This year's growing season was much better than last year's, especially because of moisture.

"It kind of depends on where you live," said Joe Bauer of Country Flowers Greenhouse, a Farmer's Market mainstay for 18 years. "You might get rain on this side of the road and not on the other. Some areas have been pretty good. Our stuff we irrigate, but rain does help."

The market is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. through October 26th.
