This house was gifted back by a previous habitat homeowner who had to leave the home for health reasons.
Wednesday Habitat for Humanity welcomed the Ellis family into the home.
Charlie Ellis works for the YWCA as a maintenance supervisor.
He's thankful for the organization making this opportunity possible.
"It's a good feeling. It's the first thing we've ever owned. We've been through a lot, we've been homeless. And this is just a blessing for us. My kid's have the same friends and don't have to change school districts. I just love it here," said new home owner Charles Ellis.
St. Joseph Habitat for Humanity has now partnered with 54 families to make their dreams of home ownership come true.
