Habitat For Humanity Collected Items for Restore

Habitat for Humanity began collecting items for Restore on Thursday.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Habitat for Humanity began collecting items for Restore today.

They received new and old appliances, mirror, lamps, bedroom pieces, coffee tables, shelves, construction materials, and much more.

Recycling pieces of furniture will help eliminate substandard housing from St. Joseph.

Restore Resale Outlets provide an environmental way to keep good, reusable materials out of our landfills.

They hope to fill the truck by the end of the weekend.

"That's kind of what we're doing out here. Showing what we take, what we do, explain to people whatever we can get goes back into the houses so we can create another home for another homeless family," said Hilton Sander.

Habitat Restore will be at the Walmart parking lot, on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
