Fracture creates road hazard on Hwy. 169 in Andrew County
(ANDREW COUNTY, Mo.) Missouri Department of Transportation crews aren't sure of the exact cause yet, but heat might have played a factor in part of a highway buckling north of St. Joseph.
There was an 11-inch rise along a fracture in the road on Highway 169 just south of the State Highway V turnoff to Helena.
Troopers from the Missouri State Highway Patrol were there to steer traffic clear of the hazard. MoDOT spent much of the evening working on the repair.
