KQ2's reporting partner KAIR spoke with the Atchison County Clerk Pauline Lee on Tuesday. Lee said 1,069 people voted from Oct. 22 through noon on Nov. 5.
Fifty-three of those were provisional ballots.
They could become provisional for a variety of reasons, ranging from a name change to an address change.
Those ballots will now go to the County Commissioners for final action on November 12th when they canvass.
Lee also reported mailing out 442 ballots, three of which were provisional.
Mail-ins can be taken to the Atchison County Courthouse until 7 p.m. Tuesday.
