Police are still investigating after a weekend shooting in St. Joseph left two injured and a home damaged by gunfire.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Police are still investigating after a weekend shooting in St. Joseph left two injured and a home damaged by gunfire.

According to Capt. Jeff Wilson, it happened around 8:30 a.m. Sunday in the 1600 block of Buchanan Avenue.

Capt. Wilson said a significant number of shots were fired at the home with least three people inside. He said Louis A. Villegas-Rosa and Linette M. Perez-Gambaro were injured. They were taken to the hospital, then treated and released.

Two people were arrested for questioning in the shooting, but they have since been released. No charges have been filed at this time.

Capt. Wilson said they are getting little cooperation in the case, which is making it difficult to find out why the home was targeted.
