The Nodaway County Economic Development group hosted a job fair at the community center.
The event was open to the community, but offered specific sessions for former employees of the Energizer plant.
A private session was held for those former workers before the event opened to the public.
A variety of businesses attended the fair, from retail to construction.
Kim Mildrad works for the Missouri Career Center and oversaw aspects of the event.
"It's a really good way for them to come in, no matter if they are from the Energizer facility and hit a bunch of employees at once or talk to a bunch of employers at once," Mildrad said.
The job fair lasted until 8 p.m.
