City leaders stopped by Lindbergh Elementary School today to kick off the partnership.
Suddenlink has promised to help Lindbergh better meet student needs.
The partnership is designed to help connect the school with resources through community events and fundraising opportunities.
The company will also provide access the History Channel and C-SPAN.
"Send home books or reading materials, or have them one on one come in and maybe even go and visit them and do some tours. It's just really trying to build that building block relationship and also you know have fun," said Suddenlink General Manager Lee Ann Smiley.
"In a school with a high poverty population there are certain opportunities that our kids simply do not have from the home. So these partnerships allow us to experience the base of kids," said Lindbergh Principal Julie Gaddie.
During this morning's ceremony, St. Joseph Mayor Bill Falkner proclaimed Wednesday "Charles A. Lindbergh Elementary School Day."
