Man Serving Life Sentence for Stabbing Dies at Cameron Hospital

Sean Cave, 43, died Friday due to heart complications at the Cameron Regional Medical Center.
(CAMERON, Mo.) A man serving life in prison for a 2008 stabbing at a Winthrop convenience store has died.

According to KAIR, Sean Cave, 43, died Friday due to heart complications at the Cameron Regional Medical Center.

Cave was sentenced to two life sentences for first degree robbery and assault and 50 years for armed criminal action for the stabbing at the former Stop and Go in Winthrop.

The victim, Kim DeJonge, of Atchison, survived the attack. DeJonge was stabbed seven times in the throat. She was 19 years old and working as a convenience store clerk at the time.

Cave was serving his sentence at the Crossroads Correctional Center in Cameron.
