Man Who Slashed Clerk's Throat Gets Life Sentence

 The man who slashed a clerk's throat during a robbery apologizes to the victim and her family.

During his sentencing hearing, Sean Cave he's sorry for all the pain he put the victim and her family through.

A judge sentenced Cave to two life sentences for the robbery and assault and 50 years for armed criminal action.

Cave stabbed Kim Dejonge in the throat seven times during a robbery at a Winthrop convenience store in June.
 
Dejonge survived the attack.

The sentence was a relief for the 19 year old.

"It's just been a long time coming," said Dejonge Just for it to finally be over and no more hearings for it and knowing he'll never be out again is a great feeling."

A second suspect, Letah Gerdes, also faces robbery charges.

She's accused of driving the getaway car.
