Twenty years after his death, a Missouri State Trooper is still serving the community.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Twenty years after his death, a Missouri State Trooper is still serving the community.

The MoDOT Northwest district office hosted a blood drive on Wednesday in honor of Corporal Michael Webster.

Webster was killed in the line of duty by a drunk driver.

The Webster family, Highway Patrol and Red Cross helped coordinate the blood drive.

"It's good that we can carry his memory for his family and for the friends that knew him, and also a great way to serve the community by getting this blood that will serve others," said Missouri Highway Patrol Sgt. Sheldon Lyon.

The blood drive was hosted by the Community Blood Center.
