Missouri Western Names Director of Career Development Center

Kay-Lynne Taylor comes to Missouri Western from the University of South Florida St. Petersburg
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Missouri Western State University has named a new director of career development.

Kay-Lynne Taylor comes to Missouri Western from the University of South Florida St. Petersburg where she was director of Student Services and Housing & Residential life since 2007. She also served in similar roles with the University of West Florida and Florida Atlantic University.

Taylor also had several administrative positions a Iowa State University where she graduated with a bachelor of arts in graphic design and a master of arts in integrated fine arts.

"We're excited to bring Kay-Lynne to Missouri Western, with her breadth of student affairs experience," said Shana Meyer, vice president of student affairs.

"In her role as director, she will help students develop their skill sets for undergraduate jobs and lifelong careers. She will also be an asset in expanding the connections Missouri Western has with employers and internship sites across the region and nation for our students and graduates."

As director of the Career Development Center, Taylor will oversee programs and services that will help students and alumni develop career planning and job search skills. Among other activities, the center provides career advising, manages on-campus employment opportunities and organizes job fairs.
