The Griffon women owned the paint outscoring LTD 44-18 on points in the lane on the way to a 98-77 win.
Ariana Novak led Western with 16 points on 5-11 shooting including four three pointers. Tiara Hall contributed a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds.
The Missouri Western men came out on top in a 102-93 decision.
The Griffons shot 57.1-percent from the field in the win, led by guard Ryan Devers who was 8-16 shooting with 21 points. Cedric Clinkscales had 19 points and nine rebounds in 21 minutes of work Tuesday night.
The Western defense was porous in the second half, allowing LTD to stay close. The Griffs were outscored 54-51 in the second half as Livin' the Dream shot 18-30 from the field in the final 20 minutes.
The Griffon women open the regular season against Chadron State Saturday, while the men play Augustana College in the Sanford Pentagon Showcase in South Dakota Saturday.
