Schiff addressed what justice is, what makes a person or society 'just', and what exactly justice requires.
In her speech, "Race, Rights and Restorative Justice," she focused on how race and minority can impact justice.
She believes that restorative justice is a way to bring a set of values that can make a difference in the way we hold and treat others.
"I think it is the only just response to how we include others in our culture and in our society rather than exclude them, and we need to figure out a way to do that," said Dr. Mara Schiff of Florida Atlantic University.
The series at Missouri Western will continue throughout the week and is open to the public.
