(ST. LOUIS, Mo.) Investigative records reveal new information linked to the 1990 shooting death of a Chillicothe farm wife.

According to Livingston County Sheriff Steve Cox, former suspected Brandon Hagan had conversations about the case with California businessman Sam Gabrielle. Cox said Hagan and Gabrielle had a disagreement over financial dealings.

He allegedly told Gabrielle that "he got away with murder and was not afraid to do it again."

Cox said the statement was made during a phone call or personal conversation between the two. He said the statement was released with other threatening text messages sent by Hagan to Gabrielle.

"This is not a game changing event by any means," said Cox.

Hagan was a suspect in the Chillicothe shooting, but Mark Woodworth was convicted in the case.

That conviction was thrown out in January, but the state hopes to retry Woodworth.
