Northeast Kansas Publisher Pleads Guilty

A northeast Kansas publisher pleaded guilty to charges of battery, assault and harassment last week in Doniphan County court.
(TROY, Kan.) A northeast Kansas publisher pleaded guilty to charges of battery, assault and harassment last week in Doniphan County court.

Dana Foley pleaded guilty to one charge of battery, one count of assault and one count of telephone harassment. Foley was originally facing five counts of sexual battery and three counts of telephone harassment.

A complaint filed by the Kansas Attorney General's office stated Foley committed the offenses against three individuals between 2008 and 2011.

Foley was sentenced to 48 hours in the Doniphan County Jail and 12 months probation after jail sentences for each charge were suspended. The original sentences were six months for battery, 30 days for assault and 12 months for telephone harassment.

The five other counts against Foley were dismissed.
