(MARYVILLE) Northwest Athletics unveiled a series of new logos in front of a packed house at Bearcat Arena prior to Saturday's spring football game.
The marks include an updated paw, "Bobby Bearcat", and several scripts that will be used throughout Northwest's athletic presence. The designs were created by Ohio-based Rickenbaugh Graphics in conjunction with a series of focus groups conducted to approve the logos.
"So much work was put into this," athletic director Mel Tjeerdsma said, "They really planned it out and made sure they kept the dignity of the logo we had. They didn't change that; they just made it better."
Merchandise with the new logos is already available to purchase.
