Fall is here and leaves are falling but theres something else on the ground that can get you some cash.
The Missouri Department of Conservation is collecting tree seeds throughout the month of October. Those who bring in seeds can receive anywhere from 10 cents a pound for Mixed Oak, to 8 dollars a pound for the Hackberry species. All seeds collected will go to benefit the George White State Forest Nursery just south of Rolla. There are four dates left for collection at the St. Joe office for the Missouri Department of Conservation. October 7th, 17th, and 21st, collection runs from 8 am to 3 pm.. October 30th collection runs from 8 am to 5 pm. There will also be a buying station in Chillicothe. For more information call 816-271-3100.
