Packers Re-sign Hill to Practice Squad

Michael Hill was released by the Packers Friday, and was re-signed Tuesday.
(GREEN BAY, Wisc.) The Green Bay Packers re-signed St. Joseph native Michael Hill to the practice squad after releasing wide receiver Reggie Dunn.

Hill spent two games on the Packers active roster, but was released on October 30th. The running back cleared waivers Tuesday, and was re-signed to the practice squad.

"Michael is doing well, he's really picked up pass protection well," Packers running backs coach Alex Van Pelt said to Green Bay Press Gazette last week. "He has good hands, good quickness. He's a smaller body in there, so he's tough to find. At some point, the way this thing goes you have to have somebody ready to roll much like DuJuan (Harris) was last year, so keep grooming him and getting him ready."

Hill graduated from Missouri Western in 2012, and signed with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent. San Diego cut him on August 31st, and Green Bay brought him into the practice squad two days later.

During his time on the active roster, Hill returned one kickoff for 19 yards.
