After scorching temperatures ending last week, the first full week of September begins much cooler and more comfortable.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) After some high temperatures last week that were among the hottest of the year so far, we are rewarded with a much cooler outlook to begin this week.
Two cold fronts passed over the weekend (including one that brought an inch of rain and a fair amount of storm damage), and have cooled us down quite a bit.
Expect Labor Day to remain a few ticks below average.
Later in the week we will warm up, but not to the extremes we saw in late August.
