Police Identify Man Injured in Shooting at St. Joseph Home

According to police, Delbert McDonald, 76, was inside a home at 19th and Edmond when he was shot.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Police are still investigating a shooting that injured a St. Joseph man Sunday night.

According to Cmdr. Janice Rothganger, Delbert McDonald, 76, was inside a home at 19th and Edmond when he was shot.

McDonald is still in the hospital and was last listed in stable condition. Cmdr. Rothganger said his injuries were non-life threatening.

Police responded to the home Sunday after getting a call about shots fired at the home around 9 p.m. Investigators searched the street and surrounding area in front of the home for shell casings and other evidence.

Cmdr. Rothganger said they have not made any arrests in the case.
