Police Seek Tips Following Assault at St. Joseph Home

An unusual crime left police searching for answers Tuesday. According to Capt. Jeff Wilson, officers responded to the call in the 3800 block of Powers Drive around 2 a.m.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) An unusual crime left police searching for answers Tuesday.

According to Capt. Jeff Wilson, officers responded to the call in the 3800 block of Powers Drive around 2 a.m.

They were told one person inside had been taken to the home against their will by two suspects, a man and a woman. That person allegedly knew others who were already at the home.

Capt. Wilson said one of the suspects was armed with a handgun, which was described as a pellet or bb-type gun.

One man, who lives at the home, was injured during the ordeal. Capt. Wilson said he had minor injuries on his head, but nothing serious.

Police say they believe the suspects were involved in some type of activity involving illegal narcotics.
