(MARYVILLE, Mo.) Authorities in Nodaway County say Prosecuting Attorney Robert Rice will hold a press conference at 5 p.m. regarding a 2012 case that has caught national attention this week.

A recent story published in the Kansas City Star has brought national attention to Maryville. The story focuses on a girl involved in a 2012 sexual assault case.

Earlier this week, Rice said through a statement that the story did not, "include all the facts as to what transpired."

Missouri Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder has also released a statement calling for Rice to ask the Circuit Court to convene a grand jury to review all evidence, hear all witnesses and issue a decision.

The press conference will be held outside the Nodaway County Courthouse.
