Red Cross Sends Volunteer to Help with Colorado Floods

The Midland Empire Chapter of the Red Cross is sending a volunteer to help with recovery of the recent floods in Colorado.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) The Midland Empire Chapter of Red Cross is sending a volunteer to help with recovery of the recent floods in Colorado.

Bill Caldwell will act as the Government Liaison.

He will coordinate the efforts between Colorado, The Red Cross, FEMA, and the different volunteer organizations.

The floods left at least three dead, and thousands were evacuated.

"It's a very rewarding thing to give to somebody that has absolutely no idea who you are, and sometimes where you came from. And, you're not doing it for any financial reward. It's just a very good feeling," said Bill Caldwell.

He leaves tomorrow morning and will be gone for at least two weeks.
