Moore received a two-year contract extension Friday afternoon that will keep him with the team through the 2016 season.
The general manager originally joined Kansas City June 8th, 2006. In Moore's seventh full season with the team, the Royals posted an 86-76 record -- the most wins the franchise has seen since 1989.
"I'm very proud of the entire organization, especially our scouting and player development departments for their dedication and commitment to the Royals," Moore said in a statement.
Last season was also the first time that Kansas City had three Gold Glove winners in Alex Gordon, Eric Hosmer and Salvador Perez -- players that all began their career in the Royals farm system.
