The non-profit hosts a parking lot sale each year to bring out unique items that pile up through generous donations.
More than that, the sale helps catch the eye of the public, bringing awareness to the organization's work in the community.
"We're not in the most ideal location for people to see us, so we do this every year to try to bring in new customers," Penny Adams, Executive Director of the AFL-CIO said.
Adams also says The event has grown every year and new customers tend to return throughout the year or for the next year's sale.
The Community Clothes Closet is open year round and accepts donations. They offer inexpensive shopping options and even free items for those in need. The closet also offers customers the option of volunteering at the store to earn credit for purchases.
