With only 18 days until Christmas, the Salvation Army is partnering with Wal-Mart to collect toys for underprivileged children.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) With only 18 days until Christmas, the Salvation Army is partnering with Wal-Mart to collect toys for underprivileged children.

On Sunday, Wal-Mart's nationally will allow Salvation Army trucks to park in front of their stores.

Both Wal-Marts in St. Joseph will be participating from noon to five.

"We're hoping that people come in and shop," Salvation Army's Capt. Dana Cook said.

This will be the second year of the event. Shoppers can purchase items from Wal-Mart or bring their own.

"Whenever we can get together as a corporation and a community to get the other to help a great cause like this why not," Wal-Mart Manager Joe Huber said.

They will be there snow or shine.
