Salvation Army Seeks Volunteers to Help with Back to School Supplies

The Salvation Army needs volunteers to help fill backpacks with school supplies on Monday, August 5.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A new school year is right around the corner and local agencies are getting ready to help families with back-to-school needs.

The Salvation Army needs volunteers to help fill backpacks with school supplies on Monday, August 5.

The supplies are being collected this weekend during the annual Stuff the Bus campaign through the United Way.

The items will be separated in approximately 1,000 supply packs from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday.

The Salvation Army also needs volunteers to help with the Back to School Fair on Thursday, August 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

That is when families will pick up their school supply packs.
