School Sent into Lockdown as Police Search for Suspect

Authorities say the man ran from bounty hunters after barricading himself in an apartment on N. 36th Street.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A St. Joseph school was sent into lockdown Tuesday afternoon as police searched for a suspect who ran from bounty hunters.

Coleman Elementary was placed on lock down as police searched the area for the man.

Authorities say the man ran from bounty hunters after barricading himself in an apartment on N. 36th Street.

Police say he was believed to be armed.

The search ended near Coleman where police found the man hiding in a wooded area behind the school.

His name has not been released.
