MARYVILLE, Mo. -- A second teenager has been charged in sex crimes investigation in Maryville.

Jordan J. Zech, 17, is charged with sexual exploitation of a minor, a Class B Felony.

Nodaway County authorities arrested Zech in the ongoing investigation that began on Sunday, Jan. 8.

According to court documents, Zech allegedly used a cell phone to make a video of a 14-year-old girl engaged in sexual acts with a 17-year-old male.

The recording allegedly took place during a party where minors were present at the home of Matthew Barnett, 17.

Barnett also faces charges in the case. He's accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl who had reportedly been drinking alcohol. Barnett told authorities the sex was consensual.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested earlier for investigation of sexual misconduct with a 13-year-old girl. That part of the case has been turned over to juvenile authorities.

Zech and Barnett are both free after posting bond.

Barnett faces arraignment on Jan. 24. A court date for Zech has not been set.
