Senator McCaskill Staff Member Hosts 'Roundtable'

The staff member took questions about federal policies and legislation from the community to hopefully give them answers.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A member of Senator Claire McCaskill's staff stopped at Missouri Western late Wednesday morning. His visit is part of the senator's "kitchen table talks."

He took questions about federal policies and legislation from the community to hopefully give them answers and guidelines.

One concern brought up during the meeting surrounded recent changes to polling locations in Buchanan County.

Steve Holdenried used the opportunity to share his frustration with the decision to move polling sites out of schools and daycares.

"I want to ask what they're doing about it. I want her to know how I feel, and there are people who feel and still feel that voting, one person one vote, that it's important," said Steve Holdenried.

McCaskill's representative didn't have immediate answers for Holdenried, but he did say the goal is to make voting as easy as possible for all voters.
