(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) The YWCA isn't taking a break while celebrating its 125th Anniversary.

Performers put on a benefit concert for the rape crisis unit at the YWCA, Saturday. Several different vocal performers gave their time to raise money for an important segment of the organization.

For the YWCA, it was a chance to raise money and awareness about rape and sexual abuse. For the singers, it was a chance to perform in the community while helping a worthy cause.

"I think the services that will come about because of the donations from today's cabaret will be very needed and really support those who have gone through so much," singer Kasey Brown said.
