A recent report from the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis listed St. Joseph fourth of 381 cities with a 9.8 percent increase in 2012.
GDP is a measure of products produced or manufactured and sold both domestically and internationally.
Patt Lilly, president and CEO of the St. Joseph Metro Chamber, said the numbers show the strength and diversity of manufacturing in St. Joseph.
St. Joseph ranked behind Midland, Texas; Odessa, Texas; and Elkhart-Goshen, Ind.
