(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A St. Joseph man is in custody following an undercover sting to track sex crimes online.

The Buchanan County Sheriff's Department and the Western Missouri Cyber Crimes Unit arrested Jeremy Cain, 25, Monday afternoon in St. Joseph as part of an ongoing investigation.

Authorities say Cain arranged to meet a juvenile for a sexual encounter at an undisclosed location in St. Joseph.

That juvenile was actually a member of the Cyber Crimes Unit working undercover online.

Cain has been charged with enticement of a child.

Meanwhile, his computer and electronic devices have been confiscated for forensic testing.

"All of that will be analyzed to see if he has had any previous encounters," said Det. Tom Cates, Western Missouri Cyber Crimes Unit.

The devices will be sent to an FBI lab in Kansas City.
