St. Joseph Man Charged with use of Child in Sexual Performance

Charges against a St. Joseph man allege he encouraged two young siblings to perform sexual intercourse.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Charges against a St. Joseph man allege he encouraged two young siblings to perform sexual intercourse.

Willis Jackson Hartman III, 25, was charged with use of child in sexual performance. Court documents allege he, "taught, encouraged and authorized" two underage siblings to perform sexual intercourse. The probable cause statement says the victims were 5 and 7 years old in March when the incident allegedly happened.

Police say Hartman was in care and custody of the children at the time. The childrens' mother notified police of the incident after Hartman no longer had contact with the children.

Hartman was arrested Wednesday in the 3500 block of Hillview Drive. He is held on a $50,000 surety bond and is not allowed to have custody with any minor or child and no contact with either victim.
