Dozens of out-of-state American Red Cross volunteers are stationed in the Washington area for several days.
Two men from St. Joseph say they wanted to come help the tornado victims, because they have experience with this kind of disaster.
The pair most recently assisted people in Moore, Oklahoma.
They say they're happy to offer their supplies and support to anyone in need.
"Holidays to us, if there's a devastation during the holiday, we're still responding to that to help other people because that's what we came to do and that's what we like to do," said Terrence Harrington.
Both men are no strangers to central Illinois.
They were here in the spring to help flood victims.
