Students carved 300 pumpkins for the Patee Park Association.
The project stems from discussions in their English and Language Arts classes.
It is designed to show the importance of being involved in the community.
"I want them to see that it's critical to give back to St. Joe, and that's why this is so important. They think they're helping them, but in essence, they're the ones being rewarded, too," said Stacia Studer.
The carved pumpkins will be featured on the Great Pumpkin Mountain, this Friday, at Pumpkinfest in St. Joseph.
