Suspect Causes Diesel Spill During Theft in Livingston County

(LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Mo.) The Livingston County Sheriff's Department is seeking information about property damage at the Fountain Grove Wildlife Area.

According to the sheriff, someone stole two batteries from a pump hose and tried to get to the copper tubing from the pump.

When the suspect cut the tube, the sheriff said they were likely sprayed with diesel fuel. More than 400 gallons of fuel leaked from the tank.

The sheriff's department urges anyone with information about the theft and property damage to call 660-646-0515.
